Audible Alarms and Notification


TopView supports multiple notification methods over network, GSM modem, data modem, voice modem, or telephony cards (e-mail, pager, SMS, text, audible, and voice)

  • Custom notification messages and subjects with placeholders for current tag values, timestamps, ...

  • Audible text-to-speech and WAV file audible alarms (local and remote)

  • E-mail notification: three methods of e-mail notification delivery available with optional SSL (secure) SMTP. Attach files to email notification messages (reports, graphics, instructions). Reply-to-email alarm acknowledge

  • SMS notification: text messages to cellular phones using a GSM modem connected to a cellular network. Reply-to-SMS alarm acknowledge

  • Modem notification: TAP protocol for pagers and cell phones OR direct-to-pager numeric messages

  • Voice notification: audible WAV file or text-to-speech delivery to all phones with keypad acknowledge

  • Return-to-normal notification messages

  • Resend persistent alarms

  • Escalation of unacknowledged or persistent alarms

  • Write-to-Server (string tag output): send notification, return-to-normal, and acknowledge messages to string tags (PI or OPC)

  • Launch other applications in response to alarm or return-to-normal

  • Flexible recipient scheduling for notification (email, pager, voice, ...) with ability to store and send notification once a schedule is active

  • Prioritized message delivery will send high priority alarm messages first

  • Contact list for managing recipients

  • Send notification messages upon lost Server connections and errors

  • Local and remote System Notification icons
