TopView Remote Viewer Download

The TopView Remote Viewer is a Microsoft Windows client application that works with Exele TopView software

Supported Windows Versions

• TopView 7.1 and later:
  Windows 11, Windows 10 May 2019 Update (version 1903), Windows 8.1, Windows 7 SP1
  Windows Server 2022, 2019, 2016, 2012 or 2012R2, 2008 R2 SP1
   
• TopView 6.33 to 7.0:
  Windows 10 Anniversary Update (1607) or later, Windows 8.1, Windows 7 SP1
  Windows Server 2019/2016/2012/2012 R2/2008 R2 SP1
   
• TopView 6.25 to 6.32:
  Win7/Win8/Win10, Windows Server 2008/2012/2016
  
• TopView 6.24 and earlier:
  Windows XP/Vista/Win7/Win8/Win10, Server 2003/2008/2012

Steps

1. Verify that you have the correct version of the Microsoft .Net Framework installed
   Starting with the Remote Viewer 6.8.13 download, we include a application that will verify the .Net Framework version required. This check program is included with the Remote Viewer download below.
   
   The required Microsoft .Net Framework version is based on the version of TopView and the Remote Viewer:

   • TopView 7.1.0 and later: Download .Net Framework 4.8

   • TopView 6.33 and later: Download .Net Framework 4.7.2

   • TopView 6.25 - 6.32:  Download .Net Framework 4.6.1

   • TopView v.6.12.0 - 6.24: Download .Net Framework 4.0

   • TopView v.6.8.7 - v6.11.5: Download .Net Framework 3.5 SP 1

   • TopView v.6.8.0 - v6.8.3: Download .Net Framework 3.5

   • TopView v5.9 through v6.7: Download the .Net Framework 2.0

   • TopView v5.8.x and earlier: Download .Net Framework 1.1
      

2. Download the Remote Viewer application
   Once you have the .Net Framework installed, you can download and run the Remote Viewer application. There is no installation for the Remote Viewer. To launch the application, run RemoteViewer.exe included in the download zip file.
   
   Unblock: once you download the zip file below, you should make sure it is unblocked before unzipping the files. Right-click the downloaded zip file >Properties > Unblock (if visible). If you do not unblock the downloaded file, you should make sure that the individual files (unzipped) are unblocked.
   
   You may want to create a new directory for this application. Ensure that the users of the Remote Viewer have write access to the directory of the Remote Viewer executable.
   
   Download the version of the Remote Viewer that is the same version as TopView.
   If the same version does not exist below, download the version which is closest to, but before, your version of TopView.
