Active Directory user support (phone, email)

TopView Contacts can now be linked to Active Directory users.

When a Contact is linked to an Active Directory user, field values used for notification are retrieved from Active Directory at the time of each notification. Use of Active Directory prevents duplication of user information and allows Active Directory user changes to be immediately reflected in TopView Contact details.

Remote Viewer: ALL Node for all connected TopView instances

The TopView Engine tree in the Remote Viewer contains a list of TopView Engine instances. Values View and Alarms View in the Remote Viewer are displayed for the selected TopView Engine.

A new ALL node is now displayed as the parent to the TopView Engines. Values View and Alarms View in the Remote Viewer can be accesses from the ALL node allowing a single view across multiple TopView Engines.

Mobile Web App – Display of Alarm/Unacknowledged rows and Alarm Labels

The designation for items in alarm and/or unacknowledged has been updated to make the current state clearer to the user: If an item has an active alarm, the item will have a vertical line at the left edge of the item and a “flag” in the upper left corner with the words “In alarm” or the custom alarm text for the item. The vertical line and flag color will be the alarm color defined for the item. If an item is unacknowledged, the item will have a vertical line at the right edge of the item and a “flag” in the upper right corner with the word “Unacknowledged”. The vertical line and flag color will be dark orange.

Custom alarm labels: In TopView, each alarm condition has an optional “Alarm label” that is used in place of the word “Alarm” in the TopView Engine Window and Remote Viewer. The “Alarm label” is now used by the Mobile Web App to display the alarm state of an active alarm item.

Configurator: upgrade all services and upgrade multiple configuration files

During a TopView version upgrade, the user must upgrade any installed TopView Services. In previous versions, the upgrade process required the user to select and upgrade each Service individually (select Service, click [Upgrade]). A new [Upgrade All] button/task has been added to upgrade all installed TopView Services.

During a TopView version upgrade, the user must open and save each TopView configuration file. A new [Upgrade] button on the Configuration Files screen allows the user to upgrade multiple configuration files in one step.

Additional placeholders for “other row information”

Previous versions supported %rowvalue and %rowalarmmsg to embed the value or alarm message of a specific item/row into a message or notification.
Additional row reference placeholders include: %rowstatus %rowtagvalue %rowalarmvalue %rowalarmstatus %rowalarmtagvalue %rowinalarm %rowunack %rowack %rowacktime %rowackuser %rowackdevice %rowtia %rowtoa %rowtor %rowtimestamp %rowtag %rowserver %rowdesc %rowtaggroup %roweu

Audit and Change Log to SQL Table option

During configuration changes in TopView, a backup of changed files is stored and the change details are added to the change log.

A new option allows the backup and change details to be stored in SQL Server in addition to the backup files and change log file.
The Audit and Change log screen in TopView Admin Tools currently accesses the backup files and change log file. Future versions will allow the files to be verified against the information in SQL Server.
