TopView SQL

TopView SQL allows users to easily monitor, alarm, and send notification for query results performed against databases, spreadsheets, and files. TopView SQL's Tag-to-Database layer allows the user to specify the query result values that should be monitored by the TopView Alarm and Notification Engine. TopView SQL supports ODBC and OLEDB data sources. ODBC and OLEDB provide standard interfaces for querying data from databases, files and spreadsheets.

TopView Remote Viewer UI Boost

A new setting for the Remote Viewer will perform the query of remote TopView information on a separate thread from the main Remote Viewer User Interface (UI). This prevents the UI from delaying updates and user interaction while the remote TopView is being polled for recent information. The most noticeable improvement will be for users with slow network connections between the Remote Viewer and TopView.

Additional changes and new features include:

• Alarm History and Alarm Reports: can include the min/max point value during each active alarm

• Alarm History (Remote Viewer): set and recall default filter settings

• Alarm History (Remote Viewer): ability to customize Alarm History columns

• Automatic Alarm report generation: finer scheduling for alarm report generation (day and/or time-of-day)

• Email Information Request: support for point information request by Tag ID
