TopView is licensed
to a single machine (computer). Each license of TopView allows you to
install the software on a single computer and access data from a single
data source (PI, OPC, PerfMon).
A single installation of TopView can
access multiple data sources (PI, OPC, PerfMon) if you have purchased
licenses for multiple data sources.

What is SSA? SSA
(Software Support Agreement) is an annual service that provides the
user with free product upgrades and extended support options. During a
period of active SSA, users will receive all product upgrades, fixes and
extended phone and email support at no additional cost.
TopView license and point count details Each
purchased TopView license is based on data source and “point count”.
The licensed data
source can be OPC, PI, or PerfMon
Point count:
Each running
TopView Window/configuration contains a set of user-selected
monitored points/tags from the data source. The total
user-selected point count across all running TopView
Windows/configurations for the licensed data source cannot
exceed the licensed point count.
Please note
that the point-count used for TopView pricing is the number of
user-selected points that are monitored by TopView and NOT the
total number of points in your Server.
Available point count licenses: 25, 50, 100, 250, 500,
750, 1000, 2000, unlimited
Example:
You are running 2 TopView Windows/configurations. The first
TopView Window is monitoring 50 points. The second TopView Window
is monitoring 150 points. Your point count is 200 and
the TopView license point count must be >=200.
Remote Viewer license
There is no cost
for the TopView Remote Viewer software and you may install it on any
computer.
Each
TopView license includes one connection from the TopView Remote
Viewer running locally or on a networked computer.
To run the
Remote Viewer from more than one computer, you must purchase Remote
Viewer connection licenses for each TopView license. This enables
your TopView computer to accept an additional "X" simultaneous
connections from Remote Viewers running anywhere on your network.
